The Cross River State Police Command has raised an alarm over the sudden disappearance of a 12-year-old boy, Master Destiny Aliamu, who went missing under troubling and unexplained circumstances in Calabar.
In an official statement issued on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, confirmed that the young student has not been seen since the afternoon of March 12, 2026, sparking growing concern among residents and authorities.
According to the police, Destiny, a pupil of St. Anne’s Private School located in the State Housing area of Calabar, had returned home from school at about 4:30 p.m. on the day of his disappearance. He reportedly washed his school uniform and was waiting for lunch. However, moments after his mother finished preparing the meal, the boy could no longer be found.
“The child has neither returned home nor been seen since that time,” ASP Eitokpah stated, describing the situation as deeply concerning and calling for immediate public assistance.
Destiny Aliamu is described as being of chocolate brown complexion, medium height, and fluent in English, with basic knowledge of the Ika language spoken in Delta State. He is originally from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State but resides in Calabar with his guardian, Mrs. Mabel Arale, at Amanso Layout, Parliamentary Extension.
Police say all efforts by family members to locate the boy have so far yielded no results, intensifying fears over his safety nearly two weeks after his disappearance.
ASP Eitokpah, speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any useful information that could lead to the child’s whereabouts.
“The Command appeals to the general public to assist with credible information. Anyone with relevant details should report immediately to the nearest police station or contact the numbers provided,” he said.
The police have released dedicated emergency lines 08090264831, 08030945970, and 07067977330 for rapid response as the search effort continues.
