14-Year-Old Student Declared Missing In Calabar

‎The Cross River State Police Command has begun a search for a 14-year-old boy, Emmanuel Umeh, who was reported missing after leaving for school in Calabar.

‎According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO) ASP Eitokpah Sunday, Emmanuel, a student of Super Star Academy on Lemna Road, left home for school on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, but has not returned home since.

‎His father, Mr. Kelven Umeh of Lemna Road, reported the incident at the Ikpai Omin Police Division at about 12:45 p.m. on the same day after efforts to locate his son proved unsuccessful.

‎The police described Emmanuel as dark in complexion, about 4.5 feet tall, and able to speak English, though not fluently.

‎The Command said investigation into his disappearance has commenced and efforts are ongoing to locate the missing teenager and reunite him with his family.

‎The police appealed to members of the public to provide any useful information that could assist in the search, calling on anyone with credible information on Emmanuel’s whereabouts to report to the Divisional Police Officer at Ikpai Omin Police Division or contact the Cross River State Police Command through its emergency lines.
