Evangelist Daniel Kolenda To Storm Calabar For Four-Day Great Gospel Crusade

By Patrick Obia

Christ For All Nations (CfaN) has announced plans to hold a four-day Calabar Great Gospel Crusade 2026, scheduled for November 12 to 15, 2026 in Calabar, Cross River State capital.

This was announced during a press briefing held on Monday, September 7, 2026, where the Executive Africa Director of CfaN, Rev. John Darku, and the Chairman Planning Committee, Apostle Trinity Ogar and entourage made the announcement.

According to Rev. Darku, the event is being organized with the conviction that Calabar and Cross River State can experience significant spiritual transformation through the preaching of the gospel.

The CfaN Executive Director described the crusade as more than a religious gathering, saying the organizers consider it an opportunity for spiritual transformation in Cross River State, Nigeria and beyond.

Darku said the program is not intended to compete with churches in Cross River State but to strengthen them. He explained that people who responds to the gospel during the crusade would be connected with local churches for discipleship and continued spiritual growth.

According to him, the organizers anticipate increased church membership, revitalized congregations and renewed revival among Christian fellowships across the state.

Beyond its religious objectives, CfaN said the crusade could also generate economic activity in Calabar as thousands of people will converge in the city for the four-day event. He noted that increased patronage of hotels, restaurants, transport services, markets and other local businesses could provide economic opportunities for traders, artisans, hospitality operators and people in the informal sector.

The Director linked the anticipated spiritual transformation to reductions in crime and improvements in social relations, arguing that transformed individuals and communities could contribute to greater peace and stability in Cross River State. The nondenominational organization said the crusade is expected to promote peace and social cohesion.

Rev. Darku said the gospel could help reduce tensions and hostility while encouraging people to see one another as neighbors rather than rivals. He held that Cross River State and Nigeria need such peace to strengthen political stability and national cohesion and to counter divisions among ethnic, religious and political lines.

However, he stressed that the ultimate objective of the crusade remains the salvation of souls and what he described as the eternal impact of the event.

Darku also highlighted the role of CfaN President and Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, whom he described as the evangelist through whom the ministry is continuing the legacy of its founder, Reinhard Bonnke.

He averred that CfaN under Kolenda’s leadership has continued conducting large-scale gospel crusades across Africa and other parts of the world.

CfaN appealed to journalists, broadcasters, publishers and social media practitioners to help publicize the crusade across Cross River State and beyond, urging radio and television stations, newspapers and digital platforms to give the event wide publicity.

On his part, the Chairman Planning Committee, Apostle Trinity Ogar, said the engagement with the media is a clarion call to the good people of Cross River to prepare and block their dates for the epoch-making occasion.

Apostle Trinity who is also the Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Acting Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Cross River State chapter, assured that “God is involved, the Heavens are fully in support and we are ready for the move of God in Calabar like never before.”

He said the expectation is that souls will be harvested massively for God, the sick healed, the oppressed set free, and churches revived to the Glory Of God.

The organization while targeting not less than one million participants, did not disclose the venue due to logistics reasons but there are predictions that it will be held at the Calabar International Conference Center (CICC) or the UJ Esuene sport stadium, Calabar.
