The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Ben Ayade yesterday in partnership with Mr. Mike Usibe, the Executive Chairman of Yala Local Government, presented 30 solar powered street lights to the people of Okuku in Yala Local Government Council.
The presentation was made on behalf of Senator Ayade by his Special Assistant, Dr. Steve Odey in Okuku with the LGA Chairman, Mike Usibe, his wife, Vice Chairman of the Council, members of the executive council of the LGA, representatives of the market women and youths present.
Mr. Usibe on behalf of the people of Yala thanked Senator Ayade for all his developmental efforts “bearing in mind that he presented a transformer to Wanakom community on Sunday”.
The Youth Leader of the Okuku while expressing his delight over the gesture, also expressed gratitude to Senator Ayade with a promise to protect the solar lights from being vandalized.
