The Cross River State House of Assembly will continue with the screening of the commissioner nominees today after the initial 16 were screened yesterday.
The screening which is expected to commence by 10am as announced by the Speaker of the House, Hon. John Gaul Lebo, is not expected to stir any surprises as the process was relatively uneventful yesterday.
Among those screened yesterday, all former members of the House of Assembly who made the list, Hon. Itaya Nyong, Hon. Daniel Osiris, Hon. Victor Agwu, Hon. Onoh John, Hon. George O’ben-Etchi, Hon. Saviour Nyong were asked to take a bow and go without being asked any questions.
Another nominee, Goddy Etta who though hasn’t been a member of the Assembly, but was also granted the privilege of taking a bow by the entire Assembly because he is the immediate past PDP Secretary in the state.
Others that were screened included, Rosemary Archibong (Akpabuyo), Edim Edim (Calabar Municipality), Asuquo Ekpeyong (Odukpani), (Akamkpa), Francis Etah (Abi), Gabriel Odu Oji (Etung), Sunny Achunekang (Obanliku), Engr. Mike Ikor Eraye (Obudu).
Others are, Thomas Udam (Ogoja), Daniel Osim Asu (Boki), and Barr. George Abang Ekpungu (Boki).
12 more will be screened today.
