Aisha Buhari Host APC Female Aspirants In Abuja, Preach Oneness

The wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, and the Office of the National Women’s Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, headed by Dr. Betta Edu, during the weekend hosted about 700 APC female aspirants for different offices in the country.

Speaking at the event which was held Saturday, at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja Mrs. Aisha Buhari, asked the aspirants to remain steadfast in their pursuit of the party’s ticket, praising their doggedness in standing up and joining the race.

The First Lady encouraged the women to build alliances with themselves, share knowledge, and continue to show a high sense of confidence going to the party primaries and victory for them will be sure.

Also speaking, Mrs. Dolapo Osibanjo, wife of the Vice President, charged the aspirants to run a campaign focused on issues and not personalities, saying the electorates look forward to what they have to offer.

She maintained that in elections there is no winner or loser, who wins should carry others along.

Dr. Betta Edu while speaking praised Mrs. Aisha for her support to female aspirants, while pleading that she continues to do so till victory is attained.

The former Cross River State Commissioner for Health enjoined all the aspirants to emulate the virtues of the First Lady. She advised all APC women to support one another, stating that they gain nothing bringing down one another.
