Today the Henshaw Town Primary School, Egerton Calabar South was plunged into confusion as a pupil slumped.
Master Paul Eyo as at few minutes to 10am while receiving English lesson was said to have taken an excuse that he’s pressed and he was permitted to go ease himself but shortly after he went out, one student (name unknown) found him behind a class vomiting white foam substance furiously and raised alarm.
Our reporter as at about 10:11am saw some students, Elijah Samuel, Prince Edet Ekpo and Edet Etim all of whom are primary three pupils, same class with Paul struggling at Ewa Ekeng Street with the almost lifeless body of Paul Eyo their class mate whom there were rushing to the Primary Health Center Henshaw Town.
On reaching the hospital an attendant who refused disclosing her identity told the boys in the presence of our reporter that they can’t handle the situation and referred them to the general Hospital, Calabar.
Immediately he was rushed to the General Hospital under the supervision of his class teacher Mrs. Monica Okpachui who disclosed that it happened when he went to ease himself while receiving English lesson.
According to the Head Teacher of the School who spoke in anonymity, she found the boy vomiting while a class was on and immediately she gave some money to take him to a nearby clinic which is Primary Health Center Henshaw Town by Ewa Ekeng road. “And I’m going there immediately to know the state of situation”, the head teacher said.
She also disclosed that this is the third time such situation is occurring and by God’s grace they have been over coming them.
