The clan head of Adadama Community in Abi Local Government in Cross River State, Chief Vincent Ekpa has raised alarm that information reaching him from a confidential source in Ebonyi government house indicates that the armed militants who attacked and killed about fifteen people in Adadama are planning another attack on the community today.

In a text message the monarch claims was sent to him by a concerned security source in Ebonyi state which he forwarded to crossriverwatch, one Mr. Chinedu Ogar was fingered as the chief planner of the mayhem.

The text message reads “Information reaching us in Adadama Community, Abi LGA show that one Mr. Chinedu Ogar, President Ebonyi Youth Assembly & CEO T BOY Motors Abakaliki and one Bar. are the ones supplying the arms for the conflict and that those guns are now in his house preparing again for the third attack.

“I got this text from a friend of mine living in Abakaliki ……..”Oga pls find out if there is any Member as Chinedu Ogar in Ebonyi State. There is info that he is d one sponsoring d problem with Adadama Comm. There are preparing to strike Adadama. Pls the Vigilante should be on alert…”

“This sms has been forward to the comm of police, State security adviser and DPO Abi have been informed.

“Oga, The bus to be used is onitsha mass transit bus white in colour with blue and red lining. some of them are mopol men in plain clothes, and some in fake army camouflage. pls inform your people”.

crossrivewatch gathered that apart from the security chiefs, the text message was also forwarded most prominent sons and daughters of Adadama including Ini John, the councilor representing the community, Hon. John Gaul, the Chief of Staff Alex Egbuna amongst others.

When crossriverwatch contacted the Divisional Police Officer of Ikwo Division, he denied knowledge of any planned attacked but promised that he will inform the MOPOL unit in the area to be on alert.

“I am not aware of any such plan. You know that the place where this crisis is going on is very far from where the police division is located. But there is a mobile police unit that is on stand-by there. And you see if it is that name you have called (Chinedu Ogar) then I will call the unit commander now and inform him that this is the information reaching and that he should be on alert. You know they have deployed another DPO here and I am leaving, the DPO of Adadama even called me this morning. May be that is what he wanted to tell me but when I told him I have been transferred, he just said I should text him the number of the incoming DPO. But I assure you I will call the MOPOL unit commander now.” He said.
