Cross River businessman and politician, KJ Jeddy Agba has dispelled insinuations that the yet to be registered All Progressives Congress, APC was a threat to the ruling People’s Democratic Party saying that the planned merger of leading opposition parties in the country lacked the might to demystify the PDP in coming elections.

Jeddy Agba in an interaction with journalists in his Abuja office recently lambasted the APC in what he described as a marriage of strange bedfellows, stressing that it was impossible for APC to wrest power from the PDP which has dominated the country’s political landscape since 1999.

He disclosed that it was difficult for such merger to be united for a common cause because different parties would be coming with strange ideologies that would be at variance with others, adding that it would soon be enmeshed in internal crisis that in no distant time would ground the party.

Jeddy Agba, a former Cross River North Senatorial aspirant, expressed no doubt in the capacity of the PDP to continue to dominate the politics of the nation while extolling the party’s contributions to deepening democracy in the country.

He categorically declared that the APC doesn’t have what it takes to dislodge the PDP in any election, boasting that the party was too formidable for any political party to floor.

He recalled the history of mergers in the country since the first republic that none had been able to defeat the ruling political party, submitting that the APC would soon be history as well.
