The immediate past Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Cross River State, Mr. Cletus Obun has advised Governor Liyel Imoke against campaigning for President Goodluck Jonathan as he did in 2011.
Obun told our correspondent yesterday during an interview in Calabar that Jonathan’s administration has not benefited Cross River state, adding that the regime is a disaster.
He said, “Quote me, I said that Imoke’s continuous association with the Jonathan’s programme is going to cost him dearly. Cross Riverians are not part of his association with him.
“Imoke is the governor of Cross River state and not the campaign manager of Jonathan. He is only permitted to govern Cross River and should not be part of Jonathan’s campaign for a second term.
“Jonathan has failed Cross River and the entire South- south region because it was under his regime that he couldn’t find a political solution to the issue of 76 oil wells which was given to Akwa Ibom state.”
