Barely 24 hours after the signing of the Sister-State agreement with the State of Maryland, Cross River may already have began to benefit from the relationship.

Yesterday, the state’s delegation made of commissioners of key ministries like Education, Health, Agriculture and ICT were given a tour of the John Hopkins Hospital, the Maryland University and Bowie State University.

During a tour of each of these institutions, there was information sharing on curriculum development, research, students and teachers exchange and extension services in agriculture.

The team also met with Maryland Tourism and Film, Baltimore Development Corporation, Morgan University, Maryland Historic Trust and Baltimore Heritage Program.

At the meeting, information was shared on how to restore and preserve historic monuments amongst others.

Meanwhile, Governor Imoke has returned home immediately after signing the Sister-State Agreement with the state of Maryland in the US.

According to one of the governor’s aide, “This is a very hectic period for His Excellency, he does not have the luxury of time to spend outside the country, that is why he left some of the members of his delegation behind to return home. The Leboku Festival is on Saturday and there are other very crucial events lined up for early next week for him so he had to make that early return.”

All these crowd(Almost his entire Exco) ferried to the US with public funds for the simple “signing of sister-state agreement” that means little or nothing to the Americans. Governor Mimiko did the same with the same state of Maryland and didn’t need to ferry his entire exco. Imoke is corrupt and incompetent. You don’t need Americans to lift up your people out of poverty……A waste of public funds…A brazen display of Inferiority complex….We never saw such rubbish/stupid under Duke. Is Imoke doing all these to protect his loot from his days as Minister and now as Governor, that he has stacked here in the US in stocks in various corporations like Ford Motors and in properties. Have Cross Riverians ever asked themselves why he continues to flood the state with cars for officials that really don’t need it? Promoting a culture of corruption? SHAME ON YOU AGBA JALINGO FOR INSULTING OUR ALREADY BRUISED SENSIBILITIES WITH THIS ONE ADDITIONAL BLUNDERS BY AN INCOMPETENT MAN WHOSE ONLY QUALIFICATION IS THAT HIS FATHER WAS FIRST GENERATION POLITICIAN IN THE DARK DAYS…..HE IS IN THE CLASS OF THE FEMI FANI-KAYODE’S WITH NO BRAINS BUT CLAIM TO THE THRONE, COURTESY OF “MY FATHER WAS THIS….” He will leave someday, and he will be questioned on all he has done.
