The committee tagged ‘National Dinner/Award Night Committee’ constitute of Comrade Moses-new Bugor as chairman, while Comrade Lawrence Ukpong, Comrade Lucia Odey, and Comrade Joy Iyamba were inaugurated members.
Inaugurating the committee the association’s president, Comrade Obaji Abung stated that the committee is to sort out modalities to organize a successful national dinner and award night that would establish a meeting point and unify students of linguistics across the country.
He added that it was his administration’s failure to host an international conference for African Students of Linguistics as promised in his manifesto that motivated him to conceive a national dinner night to bring together students of linguistics and communication studies across the country.
Comrade Abung charged members of the committee to take the task of organizing the dinner night as it would spring them to better opportunities in the future even after graduating.
In his acceptance on-behalf of committee members, Comrade Bugor assured the association of an eventful dinner while calling for support from all for a successful organization of the event.
