NYCN Vice Chairman

Executive Members of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Akamkpa Local Government Chapter have passed a vote of no confidence on its Chairman, Comrade Elvis Enyam as contained in a letter to the Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Patrick Ugbe that was intercepted by CrossRiverWatch.

The letter which was signed by 7 out of 10 exco members of the youth group says that Comrade Elvis Enyam since inauguration of the chapter executive council on 9th May, 2013 till date has not convened any meeting, he attends the state council meeting alone and at times with non-official members of their union, he fraudulently uses the union’s name to apply for financial support from good spirited individuals and organizations and solicited for a bus from Hon. Daniel Asuquo, member representing the Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency at the House of representatives without the knowledge of his members.

In the letter which copied 19 offices, the 7 exco members lamented bitterly about the dwindling state of their union and solicited for prompt actions to save it from dying. The letter further requested him to handover all the union’s properties in his possession to the Vice Chairman, Comrade Joseph Edem.

As at the time of filing this report, Comrade Enyam mobile phone was switched off.
