Senator Ben Ayade, the Senator representing the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State is partnering with the Central Bank of Nigeria to provide training and matching capital for youth entrepreneurs in his senatorial district.
According to the Senator, the areas for which the funds and training are to be provided include construction, fabrication, poultry farming, rice farming, maize farming, oil palm farming, tea cultivation, manufacturing, general and specialised trading.
In a release made available to CrossRiverWatch, the Senator says the partnership is an “empowerment program with a difference that is sustainable and for a lifetime”
The release signed by his Personal Assistant, Dr. Steve Odey Esq, promised that another program for senior citizens and vulnerable groups will soon commence; “those who can no longer fish like the retired, aged, the sick, the neglected and widows would soon have their own program”.
The statement added that beneficiaries of the program which has a commencement date of 1st March 2014 at the CBN Entrepreneurial Development Centre would have their accommodation fully paid by Senator Ayade.
Accordingly, interested applicants from the five local government areas of the northern senatorial district are to obtain their application forms, free of charge at his Constituency office at No. 10, General Hospital Road, Igoli Ogoja.
