Father of a former national spokesman of PDP, Mr. Venatius Ikem is dead.

Pa Sylvanus Ikem died yesterday in his home town in Obudu after slumping at an occasion where members of Begiaba Farmers’ Multi Purpose Cooperative, of which he was the chairman, went to bury one of their late members.

Mr. Sylvanus Ugbe Ikem, was a retired school teacher and a devout member of the Rosicrucian Order for over 40 years. He was also community leader and a veteran passionate farmer.

He served in various Boards in Cross River State including the Local Education Board, Obudu Local Government Council and the defunct Seromwood and Calvenply Nigeria Ltd. Calabar.

He is survived by his wife and 12 children amongst whom are Mr. Vivian Ikem, of Nigeria Breweries, Abuja and Barr. Venatius Ikem.
