The Canadian Government has indicated her readiness to continue partnering Cross River State Government in the area of community health and rural water sanitation.
The Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Perry Calderwood stated this during a recent interaction with journalists in Calabar.
He said Canada will provide N3billion to Cross River and Bauchi States to upgrade series of primary health care clinics and to upgrade the capacity of the College of Technology in Calabar including its curriculum.
The envoy disclosed that Canada has had a long lasting relationship with Cross River State in the area of development assistance, saying efforts will be made to improve the college of health facilities, including provision of computers.
The High Commissioner, who commended Cross River state giant strides in Tourism and Security believes Canada would always explore new development partnership opportunities with the State by assisting in the areas of technical training and skills development.
