4 Million Visits: PDP Commend CrossRiverWatch

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Cross River State has commended CrosRiverWatch on reaching the four million visitors mark in less than two years.

In a statement by the Deputy State Chairman of the Party, Mr. Fidel Egoro, the party said: “When you guys started, we thought you were against the state and of course PDP as a political party but we have seen a remarkable change, we just hope you keep it up.

“I do get your alerts and read the stories myself. Hitting four million visits in less than two years is impressive.

“Do remember that Cross River is your state and whatever your long term plans are, know that the interest of the state is paramount.”

CrossRiverWatch portal which started online at www.crossriverwatch.com has considerably raised the socio political consciousness of the average Cross Riverian, kept Cross Riverians in Diaspora and indeed other Nigerians abroad abreast with happenings in the state, attracted more interest from non Cross Riverians to the state and above all, it has become the most credible alternative source of news about Cross River State.

Since inception, the portal has steadily received over 4,000,000 visits, 21,300 likes on facebookhttp://www.facebook.com/CrossRiverWatch?ref=ts&fref=ts and 382 followers on twitter, with a peak daily visit of 35,000 and average daily visit of 15,000 readers within the state, the country and in Diaspora making the portal the biggest alternative source of news in a state with a mere 17% internet penetration.
