The Speaker, Cross River State House of Assembly, CRSHA Hon. Larry Odey has expressed satisfaction with the just concluded meeting of the Northern Stakeholders Forum, NSF describing it as a means of harmonizing the northern interest for the governorship race come 2015.
In an interview with CrossRiverWatch after the meeting which held yesterday at Mirage Hotel, Calabar, the Speaker said, “If you heard my contribution I said we can never say we are meeting too many times because this effort has to be consolidated with time, it doesn’t matter the number of meeting or groups provided it is done in an atmosphere of peace and harmony and at the end of the day it is the ultimate we are trying to achieve.
“To achieve a process that is harmonious, that will bring up a credible hand that will fight for the office of the state governor come 2015, so the effort of the stakeholders’ forum today is in line with the effort of the people”.
The town hall meeting which was convened by General Anthony Ukpo rtd. was graced by almost all those angling for the governorship position from the northern part of the state including Hon. Paul Adah, Hon Emmanuel Ibeshi, Mr. Gerald Adah, Mr. Patrick Ugbe, Mr. John Odey, Goddy Jedy Agba, Julius Okputu, Fidel Egoro, Venatius Ikem, Senator Ben Ayade, Mr. Peter Oti, Hon. Rose Oko amongst others.
