Members of the All Progressive Congress, APC ward 5 Calabar South, Cross River State have been urged to at all cost ensure that the forth coming elections in the state, ward 5 in particular is free and fair.

The charge was given by the ward chapter chairman, Chief Effiong Edet Eyo in the ward’s inaugural congress recently held at Ekeng Ita Street, Calabar South.

Addressing his party faithfuls during his valedictory speech Chief Eyo reminded them that: “Our Ward is the toughest ward to conquer in the South, severally we have proved our point by delivering our ward to our beloved party, even during the time of old with Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and as you know ward five has always been an opposition ward and we must return to that standard”. Beating his chest that “If this ward and ward four are not won in Calabar South, it means election was not successful and you know we both are strong opposition”.

The Ward 5 Calabar South APC Chairman cried of lack of finance as the major challenge of the ward beckoning on his party members to remain faithful to the party agenda irrespective of the famine.

He disclosed that the Ward introductory assembly was solely sponsored by one of its faithfuls, Mr. Nsa Effa Henshaw whom the chairman informed provided the venue, flags and drinks”.

He prayed God to replenish the source of Mr. Henshaw and ensure that the sacrifice never goes unnoticed and unrewarded urging other good spirited individuals of the party to support the party in any way possible.
