Erstwhile Cross River Commissioner for Works, Mr. Legor Idagbo has applauded the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Leader of the party in the state, Governor Liyel Imoke for the successful conduct of the Ad-hoc Ward delegates congresses in the state.
The former commissioner who debunked reports that the exercise was marred by violence and logistics problems said the congresses were smooth and successful.
Mr. Idagbo who spoke with CrossRiverWatch earlier today said: “ The exercise went on very well and very smooth. Apart from the initial logistics challenges that caused delays in the arrival of the materials, the congresses went on very well yesterday across the state and I commend the leadership of the party for handling the exercise in a very matured and transparent manner and I congratulate all the delegates that emerged from the congresses.
“It is my expectation that the leadership of the party will continue in this spirit of creating a level playing ground for every aspirant as the process continues to wind down to the end.” He said.
