One of the gubernatorial aspirants under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, Mr. Goddy Jedy Agba has expressed very strong displeasure over the sale of one of the pride of the state, the Cultural Centre by the Senator Liyel Imoke led administration.
Jedy Agba who bared his mind in remarks while thanking Cross Riverians and other Nigerians in the state for the massive support he enjoys among the people, during a rally to welcome him home held at the Holy Child Secondary School, Marian Hill, Calabar, said that it was wrong for any administration to give out what the state had labored in the past to build.
He described as unacceptable the reduction of the Cultural Centre from its high status of being a place for showcasing the rich culture of the people of Cross River State, to a place for socials events adding that “we are going to chase these boys out of town”, and promised that he was offering himself for service to the people of the state and that he was going to work hard to bring back the lost glory of the state.
The Obudu Prince in his remarks said the work ahead is enormous and called on all his supporters to work hard and ensure victory during the PDP primaries and the general election in 2015.
