Jedy Congratulates Ayade, Says He Will Not Fight Him

Just minutes ago, PDP gubernatorial candidate, Ben Ayade and Goddy Jedy Agba in separate phone calls to www.crossriverwatch.com and www.calitown.com, have said that they will not fight themselves but will work together for the interest of Cross River State.

Jedy Agba said Ayade has called him and he has given the PDP flag bearer his word that he will support him in the interest of peace to take Cross River State to the next level.

Agba said he will not contest the decision of the party and the process to threw up Ayade as PDP flag bearer in court, neither will he switch to another party to contest the election as being speculated.

“Yes, Ayade called me this morning and I told him congratulation. I am not fighting him. He is not the problem. I know who is fighting me, it is not Ayade. If what happened is the will of God, let it be.” Agba said.

Ayade who sounded very emotional on the line said he was humbled by the singular fact that Agba called him up this morning to congratulate him on his emergence. Hear him, “…me and Goddy spoke this morning and he amazed me with his brotherhood. He said it is God that gives power.

“He said he asked for the position, I also asked for it but God choose only one of us and he is even going to put his resources together and work with me to make the process a success… He also insists I should not listen to any blackmail or gossip, he is not going to court, he is not going to another party, he is working to make sure that we succeed”. Said Ayade.

On the intrigues that accompanied the political process, Ayade said, “the intrigues were very high and brought our docile state to limelight, all those who took part in it helped to make it the success it has been. Now, I will urge a lot of people to reverse positions and support me because I don’t discriminate, everybody should streamline and work so that we can make Cross River a masterpiece and an exemplary departure from what has been”.

Ayade also said: “Florence Ita-Giwa has called in to congratulate me, Donald Duke has sent me a congratulatory text, Bassey Otu, and Gershom Bassey have also sent their word”, he concluded.
