Police, Other Security Agencies Join Forces To Ensure Free And Fair Election In Cross River State

In preparation for the general election, the Cross River State Police command assisted by other security agencies in the state have put together a robust and elaborate security arrangement to ensure free, fair, credible and violence free election in Cross River State.

This was made known through a press release signed by the Cross River Commissioner of Police, Henry Fadairo made available to CrossRiverWatch after a briefing by the security chiefs today.

In the release he warned that there will be restricted movement between the hours of 8am and 5pm. He informed that there will be motorized armed patrols before, during and after the election.

He reiterated that anyone or group of individuals with the requisite requirements such as PVC and other permit should feel free to exercise their civic responsibilities.

He vehemently warned that no act capable of disrupting peace and tranquility of the election will be condoned.
