Less than 24 hours to the March 28 presidential poll, Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), has urged Nigerians to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and his deputy, Namadi Sambo, based on verifiable achievements.
Senator Ndoma-Egba also urged the people of Cross River State and indeed, all Nigerians, to vote massively for Jonathan and Sambo.
In a personally signed statement released in Abuja yesterday, the Senate Leader, who represents Cross River Central in the upper legislative house, also urged his kinsmen not to be deceived by fake promises.
He said: “We should not take chances with the President’s known and ascertainable achievements and his proven democratic disposition and credentials. We should refuse to be tempted by vague, unverifiable and untenable promises of change. Too much is at stake and we cannot afford the luxury of gambling.
“Every eligible Nigerian should vote in these all defining elections and we must all insist on a free, fair and peaceful elections. As Nigeria takes this turn, it is certainly into greatness.”
