The State Coordinator of the All Progressive Congress, APC Youth League, Mr. Williams Asuquo on Tuesday inaugurated the Calabar South political ward 5 chapter executives of the League as part of his tour round the State.

While speaking during the inauguration ceremony which held at the secretariat of the ward 5 APC office at No. 6 Ekeng Ita Street, he urged those present not to allow themselves be used as in the past.

Asuquo admonished that “let us critically search for those to represent us, let it not be the usual way but through transparency and true representation”.

He enjoined the members to ignore any form of godfatherism, “be fervent, committed and forthcoming. Let no one impose leaders on us”, he warned.

On his part, the Calabar South Local Government Coordinator, Umoh Ephraim expressed gratitude to the party leadership for ensuring that the youths are organized and heard through a platform as APC Youth League which is one of the nationally recognized youth wing of the party.

He was quick to add while speaking that “the rationale behind this platform is to serve as a pressure group to watch, criticize and strengthen true democracy in the party structure and Nigeria at large. Let us never deviate from that”.

On his part, the Calabar South Ward 5 APC Youth League President, Ewa Henshaw while speaking after being inaugurated by the State Leaders of the Youth League pledged to lead by example and ensure that all and sundry are carried along.

He called on members to join him to take the party to the next level.
