The member representing Obudu/Bekwara/Obanlikwu Federal Constituency, Hon. Legor Idagbo has been decorated as Patron of Likambende Club of Obudu and also given an award for Effective Representation of his Federal Constituency.
The award which was presented to Hon. Idagbo by a delegation of the leadership of the organization in his office at the National Assembly complex, Abuja recently, is coming just after only six months of resumption as a first time lawmaker in the green chamber.
According to the group, Hon. Legor Idagbo in his short stay in the House of Representatives has moved a motion for the reconstruction of the Calabar-Ikom-Ogoja-Obudu highway and recently called for the recall of 2,000 dispersed officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, a matter that has been referred to the House Committee on Public Petitions for investigation.
They also lauded the lawmaker’s effort back in his constituency, pointing out that the member has for the first time put in place a functional constituency office with staff in place as well as done his first constituency reach out in just six months after election.
In his response, Hon. Idagbo commended the club for their good work and also for their encouragement.
He also appreciated them for the fact that they didn’t come like other groups and individuals who are only interested is personal aid but as a group that is genuinely recognizing and appreciating the work that has been done towards the development of the constituency.
He promised to continue doing his best in representing his constituency in the green chamber and also said his office is always open to members of his constituency who require his attention.
