Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial district and Chairman Senate Committee on Finance, Senator John Owan Enoh has disclaimed several phoney facebook identities that have been opened with his name by alleged fraudsters in a bid to swindle the unsuspecting public.
In a statement on his authentic facebook page https://www.facebook.com/John-Owan-Enoh-279262188930011/?pnref=story the Senator urged the public to disregard those IDs and assured that he is taking steps to decisively with those behind the fake identities.
The disclaimer reads: “It has been brought to my notice that some unscrupulous persons have been faking Facebook accounts with my name to defraud unsuspecting Facebook users.
“It is in this light that I wish to categorically state that the following Facebook accounts: John Owan Enoh; John Owan-enoh; Etung Mandate and other Facebook pages with my name outside my official Facebook page are all fake.
“I therefore use this medium to advise my friends and followers on Facebook not to have any dealings with anyone on Facebook pretending to be me.
“I want to reassure you all that I am taking steps to deal decisively with these persons by reporting the nefarious activities of these unscrupulous elements to the security agencies for action.”
