The U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar has been granted the hosting right for the Saturday June 11, African Cup of Nations qualifier between the Flying Eagles of Nigeria against Burundi.

A letter conveying the granting of the hosting right to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade was presented to the State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Asu Okang yesterday at the Glass House National Secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Abuja.

The Commissioner expressed great delight and appreciation to the NFF on behalf of the governor and the sports loving people of Cross River state for the continued relationship between the football federation and Cross River State.

He assured officials present at the occasion as well as the Coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia that the Flying Eagles will have a great time in Calabar.

The Under-20 National Team will resume camping in the Cross River State Capital from 5th June 2016, in readiness for the soccer duel on Saturday 11th June 2016.
