Alina Blessing, a Cross Riverian schooling at Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus recently bagged the 5th edition of the African Students Grand Award (ASGA), 2016.
ASGA was initiated in 2012 by the Nigerian Students Society, Eastern Mediterranean University, Famagusta North Cyprus.
In a statement to CrossRiverWatch, Blessing who hails from Becheve, Obanliku local government area of Cross River State said, “It’s an honor, I feel proud of this prestigious award. I couldn’t have done it without God. I feel happy and fulfilled. This is my first year here and the love I’ve received so far is overwhelming.”
Furthermore, the first year Pharmacy student said: “Thank you ASGA, thank you Eastern Mediterranean University and a big thank you to all my family and friends in Nigeria that voted for me. I do really appreciate it. You all are amazing. Love you all.”
Other Nigerians who won include: Kingsley Udofia as Most Social Male from Akwa Ibom State, Favor Ezinne as Best Athlete Female from Imo State, Hamza Bello as Mr. Eastern Mediterranean University from Kogi State, Adetoyi Adeyemi Azeez from Osun State for Best Coach Female and Hope Nancy as Entrepreneur of the year.
