A decomposing body of an adult male has been left in a pool of flies under the Goodluck Jonathan bypass, by the right side while driving in from Lemna entering from 8 Miles, Calabar.
Our reporter who visited the scene says, “The body is rotten, swollen and stinking badly. It appears he has been here for over a week, and may have been killed because he has cuts on his hand, part of his head has something that looks like machete cut and it appears the back of his head is open. He seems to be between the age of 30-40 and he has some grey hair.”
It’s surprising that no relevant government agency has responded to this absurdity, more so, bearing in mind that since the bypass was opened last year, it has become the favorite route for most of the government officials in the state, particularly those going to or arriving from the airport.
We call on the relevant government agencies to move in urgently and evacuate this body for proper burial.
