The Under- 20 National Football Team, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday last week arrived the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar in readiness for the Africa Nations Cup qualifiers match against Burundi, billed for Saturday at the U.J. Esuene Sports Stadium, Calabar.

The Flying Eagles who have been having their routine training sessions in readiness for their Burundian counterparts who are expected to arrive Calabar tomorrow (Thursday) are also billed for a friendly match against winners of the Cross River State FA Cup, Rovers Football Club of Calabar this evening in Calabar.

The Nation’s cup qualifier is billed for Saturday 11th June at the U. J. Esuene stadium, Calabar. According to Mr. Asu Okang, the Cross River state Commissioner for Youth and Sports who received the team at the airport in company of the Special Adviser, Governor’s Office, Mr. Ken Aklah, “The match on Saturday will also have members of the Nigeria Olympic Committee on the ground and tickets will be sold with a raffle draw at the end where three person will win an expense paid trip to the Rio Olympics.”

The Commissioner enjoined Cross Riverians to come out in their numbers to support the Eaglets to victory. “Please come and support our Eaglets to victory”. He said.
