Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu who was a counsellor for “The Tell Your Story Mind Rubbing Session”, a program on HIT FM, Calabar has been lauded for her commitment to duty.
The program was initiated by HIT FM to bring together listeners, victims of domestic violence, relationship experts and counsellors to openly interact on a range of pertinent issues relating to domestic violence and relationship.
MD of HIT FM, Mr. Patrick Ugbe, who doubled as the host of the program, thanked all the counsellors for coming to share their experiences and counsel the audience.
He further commended the Governor of Cross River State Senator Ben Ayade for bringing an innovative smart woman with profound counselling skills on board his administration. In his words “Dr Betta is very resourceful.”
MacDonald Peter Anyangbe, Head of Programs and Production in a mail sent to the office of DG thanked her for the interaction, kind words, and piece of advice that she offered during the session.
He noted that the DG was sound and multifaceted. “Everything about Dr. Betta Edu is pure excellence, indeed this event would not have been the success it was without your generous input as you took time out of your busy schedule to impact knowledge as a counsellor in this event.
“We sincerely hope that the good rapport that now exist will be maintained and that you will continue to support us in our future events.” said Mr. Anyangbe.
The DG, Dr Betta Edu in a chat with some press men noted that she was happy to share her knowledge on relationship issues with the public and will always be willing to talk anytime she’s called upon to counsel.
She showered encomiums on the station, stating that HIT FM has surpassed her benchmark while admonishing the station to remain non-partisan the dissemination of information to the public as well as using the platform to promote healthy living and health activities in the state. She noted that for the first time, radio can be felt in the state.
