In a motion of urgent public importance initiated by the Leader of the House, Hon. Moses Ucheche representing Obanliku state Constituency, the House queried the spate of insecurity, crime and disorder resulting to increased kidnapping and armed robbery in the state capital and noted that the relevant government agencies are not performing their statutory and constitutional responsibility.
The invitation to the agencies will offer them the opportunity to offer public explanation to the House ahead of relevant legislative action.
CrossRiverWatch has reported repeatedly that insecurity has heightened in the state capital in recent months with rising numbers of kidnappings for ransom, brazen robberies and snatching of valuables without intervention from the security agencies.
