Two Cross Riverians, are among the 47 man list of Ambassadorial nominees that President Buhari yesterday forwarded to the Senate for screening and subsequent approval.

CrossRiverWatch gathered that the two, Odeka Janet Bisong and Martin Nyong Cobham are both Cross Riverians who are career diplomats.

Cross River is one of the only four states that had two nominees on the 47 man ambassadorial list. Others include Kano, Gombe and Ogun state.

Nigeria though has more than 47 international missions so it is expected that more states will still get a second nominee in the course of time.

It will be recalled that President Buhari has appointed his Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Ibas, Minister of Nigeria Delta Affairs, Usani Usani, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Eyo and Special Assistant on Prosecution, Obono Obla, all from Cross River state.
