Immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor James Epoke has returned to the class room to lecture, after his five years tenure as the Vice Chancellor of the institution.
Epoke is now lecturing Virology, a course offered by 4th year students of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences.
In a telephone chat this morning, Professor Epoke told CrossRiverWatch that teaching has always been his profession and his job as an administrator of the school only took it away from him only for a while.
“Yes, I am back in the classroom. I am lecturing 4th year students on Virology now. I just went home for a while and returned. This has always been my job. The VC job only took it away from me for a period and I am back now.” He said.
Epoke who led the school as VC for five years ended his tenure last October and handed over to Professor Zana Akpagu the incumbent VC.
