As part of the rewards for the successful organization of the Miss Africa Pageant, the governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade today announced Mr. Mathias Amgbah who handled the social media component of the Miss Africa Pageant which just ended in Calabar, as his Senior Special Assistant on Web and Social Media.
Mr. Christian Ita, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor confirmed the appointment to CrossRiverWatch this evening saying the appointment letter has been prepared by the Secretary to State Government SSG, as directed by the governor.
Mr. Mathias Amgbah from Obudu Local Government had earlier coordinated the social media campaign of a former governorship aspirant in the state and now member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Legor Idagbo.
He later joined the a DFID funded project in the state, GEMS3 as Programs/Communications Officer until recently when he left the organization.
The governor had earlier announced a ten million Naira reward for his Senior Special Assistant on Events, Thomas Ikpeme for the successful organization of the event.
Until date, Eval Asikong, Special Assistant, Social Media has been the pioneer aide to the governor in the new department.
