BREAKING: CrossRiverWatch 5th Anniversary Lecture Postponed

By Jonathan Ugbal

The fifth anniversary lecture of CrossRiverWatch scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday) has been postponed a statement signed by the editor, Charles Kalu said.

This is due to unforeseen circumstances the statement said.

The Chairman of the occasion and Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Zana Akpagu as well as the Keynote Speaker and Vice Chancellor of the Cross River State University of Technology, Professor Anthony Owan-Enoh had “last minute changes to schedules which will make them unavailable for the event,” the statement said.

Also, the special guest, Honorable Jarigbe Agom, a federal legislator will not be available as he will be tending to other legislative issues which came up a few days to the event.

The theme of the event: “Online Media and Democratic Success,” was aimed at taking a cursory look at the impact of the online media on Nigeria’s democratic processes.

“We deeply regret the inconveniences this may have caused our invited guests and participants.

A new date will be communicated ij due cause,” the statement added.
