CRUTECH Alumni Donate Borehole To Students

By Peter Inyali

The Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH),  alumni association has donated a borehole to students of the institution.

This is coming following students cry of water scarcity in their hostels.

Speaking during the commissioning at the Calabar campus of the university, President of the alumni association, Comrade Eyam Abeng said it was the alumni desire to give back to its alma mater.

Mr Abeng noted that the students, through their union President had expressed their plight of water shortage in the hostels to the alumni which the alumni responded to immediately by providing a borehole for the students.

He said the alumni would always work in synergy with the students to add value to the institution.

“we are here to commission this borehole as part of our mandate of elevating the status of our Alma mater.

“Water is life. To ensure a conducive environment for learning, clean and portable water is very important. We charge you to maintain this borehole so it could serve others yet to be admitted.”
