Enrolment into the Cross River State Health Insurance Scheme is scheduled to begin by December 15, 2017 a statement from the state says.
Tagged ‘AyadeCare,” the scheme named after Governor, Ben Ayade will kick off with an official launch by Mr. Ayade in Calabar read the statement jointly signed by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Insurance, Mr. Godwin Iyala.
“The launch will signal the commencement of enrolment as the first major step towards actualizing the laudable dreams of His Excellency the Governor,” the statement read, adding that: “your presence and support will further lead to the realization of Universal Health Coverage in Cross River State.”
The statement which advised the general public “to turn out enmasse and get themselves enrolled into the scheme,” also said the event will hold at No. 30 Barracks road which used to house the roll back malaria program.
