Immediate past Water Resources Commissioner in Cross River State, Engr. Elemi Etowa has been reported dead.
Mr. Etowa, a renowned geologist was Managing Director of the state Water Board before his appointment as Commissioner for Water Resources by former governor Liyel Imoke in 2012.
Family sources say the Abi born water expert died on Sunday, December 17 but CrossRiverWatch could not confirm if he was ill.
Another source close to the family say, when Mr. Etowa was seen in his church last Thursday, December 14 he was very strong and did not show any sign of illness.
“Though he previously had some health challenges, he was treated and confirmed strong, so his dead is really shocking” a family source said
At the time of filling this report, his family is yet to make any formal statement.
