Gangster Gunned Down By Rival Group, UNICAL Suspends One For Gang Related Activities

A gangster Popularly known as “Last Born” has been gunned down by rival group last night at Mayne Avenue by Ekpo Abasi in Calabar South, Cross River State.

Last Born whose biological name was given as “Etim” was killed by a yet to be identified rival group.

This is coming just when the University of Calabar suspended Adeye Mathias Unimke with the registration number 16/063144861 over allegation of involvement in gang related activities.

This was contained in a statement signed by the University’s Registrar, Mr. Moses Abang.

The release directs that the student should remain suspended pending the conclusion of investigation by the institution’s Disciplinary Committee.

The University warned him to stay away from the campus except while responding to invitation by the Disciplinary Committee.

As at the time of filing this report, calls were being placed to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Itohan Ugbo and the State Security Adviser South, Chief Ani Esin.
