The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has declared Okoi Ofem Obono-Obla, former chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP), wanted.
The anti-graft agency said it took the action due to his Obono-Obla’s “repeated failure to appear before it to answer questions bordering on allegations of fraud and corruption”.
As at the time of filing this report, he’s number was out of reach.
Culled from The Cable.
Update
“The lynching, media trial, witch hunting and persecution of Obono-Obla intensifies as ICPC purportedly declared him wanted ! Men of good will must condemn this brazen harassment of a patriot who did his work with utmost dedication and commitment”.
The above quote is the response of Chief Okoi Obono-Obla on his facebook wall.
