PDP Vanguard Blast Ayade Over Journalist Trumped Up Charges, Incarceration

An advocacy group of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) know as PDP Vanguard has strongly criticized the Cross River State Governor and member of PDP, Sen. Ben Ayade for incarcerating Citizen Agba Jalingo, a journalist in the State.

Jalingo is currently remanded in Prison custody while the trial is on.

The PDP Vanguard is joining the over 50 organizations (local and international) demanding respect for rule of law, fundamental rights and immediate release of Jalingo.

The group with over 52 thousand followers on Twitter has issued a statement via its Twitter handle @PDPVanguard condemning Ayade’s relentless fight against the press.
