Yesterday, the President and Governors around the country celebrated June 12 Democracy Day National holiday; some with public activities and rallies, some with media statements calling on their electorate to continue to have faith in democracy and in Nigeria.
In Cross River State there was no celebration of June 12 Democracy Day with public activities or media statement, this the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Information and Orientation, Mr. Aye Henshaw confirmed to our newsroom.
The Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade who just returned from an unannounced trip to Oslo, and his deputy, Prof. Ivara Esu rather hopped in a cruise boat across the Calabar Marina to have fun and dance “Gbe bodi e” at Calas Vegas.
