Our newsroom has been monitoring the ongoing Local Government Election in Cross River State.
Our reporters across the 18 LGAs of the State reports that voting has commenced.
Generally, there’s low voters turnout across. Some people are going about their regular business, markets are open, shops are selling, some road and open spaces have been temporarily converted to football pitch.
Most people are home as they say they don’t know who to vote while some say it’s a clean sweep for PDP considering the internal crisis rocking the major opposition party in the State, APC.
Below are pictures of the atmosphere in the State capital, Calabar. The pictures range from 8 Miles through Calabar Municipality to Ekpo Abasi in Calabar South.
