Mr. Frank Ayade, younger brother to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has reappeared in Calabar after a CrossRiverWatch report about his illness.

Earlier reports and social circles in Calabar had suggested that Frank Ayade had died. But insiders close to the first family of the State debunked the rumors of his death while disclosing to CrossRiverWatch that Mr. Ayade whom his brother described as ‘co-Governor’ in 2015, was seriously ill.

A powerful force to reckon with in his brother’s administration, Mr. Frank is also revered by many in the State. He arrived the Margaret Ekpo International Airport in Calabar on Tuesday with dozens of supporters including top aides of his brother who took to social media to announce his arrival.

Mr. Frank is said to have been out of the State for a long time to attend to his health. As at press time, it remained unclear whether his doctors gave him an all clear or he was hurriedly brought back to douse the rumors of his death.
