Our newsroom has confirmed that Mr. Kenneth Ishamali, aka Abacha, in-law to Cross River Co-Governor, Dr. Frank Ayade was arrested by EFCC over multiple withdrawal.

Sources in the Uyo office of EFCC informs CrossRiverWatch that, “Abacha is being detained over funds withdrawn in multiple tranches, amounting to over 2billion Naira.

“The withdrawal was from one of the new generation commercial banks and allegedly funnelled to Mr. Frank Ayade, the younger brother of the State Governor”.

The money is said to have been withdrawn from the account of a contractor who was awarded a multi billion naira job by the State Government (still verifying the identity of the company).

Earlier today (Friday), the Chief of Staff to Governor Ben Ayade, Mr. Martin Orim, was frantically mobilizing lawyers from the Cross River State Ministry of Justice to go to Uyo to seek the release of Abacha, but it wasn’t clear whether he was successful, at the time of filing this report.
