The protracted crisis that has rocked the Cross River State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), may be far from over as the last congress produced two factions.
The scenario is a de javu of sort even though the congress of one faction was well attended by most of the principal actors in the past crisis.
As earlier reported, the Governor’s aides stole the show while supporters of the former Niger Delta Affairs minister, Usani Uguru; Prince Otu Bassey and Senator John Owan-Enoh held a parallel congress with John “Jallo” Egbeji Ogon emerging as Chairman while Francis Ekpenyong emerged as Secretary.

However, there have been denials from some members of the Executive shared by aides of Governor Ayade. These have not been confirmed.
Furthermore, Mr. Uguru having been accused of sponsoring Jallo, denied the allegations.
“I don’t need any sermon to convince anyone that I’m (sic) not involved. No parallel agenda. No one will use me to achieve obscure missions,” Usani wrote at 9:14PM on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
