Governor Benedict Ayade of Cross River State has announced 98 new appointments including a Senior Special Assistant on Abuja legal matters, days leading to the February 26, 2022, legislative by-elections in Cross River State.
The list was made public on Tuesday afternoon, in a signed press statement by his deputy spokesman, Linus Obogo.
“The appointments are with immediate effect,” read the press release dated February 22, 2020.
The appointments include over 30 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs), and Personal Assistants (PAs). The rest include a Director General (DG), Chairmen, and members of boards, commissions, and management councils.

The list is populated with names mainly from the three Local Government Areas where the legislative by-election will hold on Saturday and keeps with the Governor’s “food on the table,” mantra which he promised to jettison in 2019.
