Dr. Idem Etuk Pleads Not Guilty To Rape, Case Adjourned To April 21

Dr. Idem Etuk Samuel, CEO of Mount Zion Clinic Calabar who is being accused of sexually assaulting his underaged patient was arraigned yesterday at the High Court of Cross River State, Calabar Judicial Division.

He pleaded not guilty to the two-count charges against him and was granted bail by the court.

The case was adjourned to 21st April 2022 for hearing. 

Reacting, James Ibor, Esq. lead Counsel to Basic Rights Law Partner said: “Recall that on November 16th, 2021, we published our complaint to the Commissioner of Police.

“We are optimistic that at the end, Justice will be served.”
